Payday at work, nothing remarkable other than the line 'Departmental Bonus' on my electronic payslip an indication that I am 'Employee of the Month'.
Clare's first reaction; "How come it's taken so long?"
I'm more realistic, it's not so much 'last man standing' but probably 'most noticeable'!

Apart from that it's Monday, the start of a fresh week, but Mondays are beginning to become Groundhog Days. Part of the enjoyment of my role was the something different every day, that's starting to fade away.

Clare's oldest brother, John, has arrived from California for their Fathers funeral at the end of the week, good to see him but different circumstances would have been preferred.
