Waiting to Make an Entrance

The tiny chick talked first:
"I'm not sure what to make...
of this thing called life.
Will there be struggles? 
Will there be strife?"

Mom answered:
"We'll all be okay,
we'll just stay on the farm.
All YOU have to do...
is show them your charm."

Baby replied:
"Pretty soon I'll come out,
and I'll run, and I'll scoot.
But for now, I'll just hide here,
and try to be cute."

Seen at a local orchard that has a small farmyard with animals, and a playground for the kids. The tiny chick had a brother/sister that had also hatched, and Mama Chick was sitting on one last egg.
