2.30am Woke and didn't get back to sleep

4.45am Alarm went off

5.35am Bus into Bath

6am Coach to Earls Court, London

8.50am Underground from Earls Court to Stratford

9.30am Arrived Stratford and joined the crowds walking towards the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

10.10am Took my seat up in the gods of the Olympic Stadium for Day 3 of the IAAF World Championships London 2017 and a fantastic morning of athletics action

3pm Lift to the top of the ArcelorMittal Orbit for views over the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and London skyline

4pm Hero Village to pick up some freebies, followed by a walk through the Olympic Park

4.50pm Tube from Stratford to Lancaster Gate

5.20pm Italian Water Gardens in Kensington Park for a birthday ice cream

5.50pm Walk to Paddington Station

6.30am Train from Paddington to Bath

8.25pm Train from Bath to local station

8.40pm Walk through front door

8.50pm Large Birthday Drink!
