Bollards

Wet, windy and cold today. We have resorted to lighting the wood burner; I don't think we have lit it in September before.
A quick trip into Winchester so Jane could buy some card. She is making some quilted pin boards so sell at a craft fair. A couple of prototypes have gone well and it is now about getting the finish looking good. The craft shop is on The Square and this is where Winchester City Council has funded the painting of a total of 17 bollards as part of its wider contribution to the refurbishment that has been done. The bollard project, first conceived in 2005 as part of the Hat Fair celebrations, is thought to have been a first for the UK. The Colour Factory has taken inspiration from some of the world's greatest artists, adding an element of fun and interest to the city's street furniture.
I like the reflection in the puddle of the Jackson Pollack inspired bollard and the parts of the next two bollards drawing the eye.
