Floral display

Day 11 and we are starting to think about what we might do for our last few days!!

We did agree when we came we would like to enjoy a drink at one of the beautiful hotels here so tonight before dinner we wandered to the Metropol hotel and had a cocktail. This beautiful display was in the centre of the lounge when we walked in and so I had to take a photo!

I had a martini cocktail which was delicious and then we took a slow stroll to the beach restaurant we booked to eat where there was live jazz music playing all evening. On the way there we stopped to watch a digger in the sea, digging out the sea bed. They are reclaiming some land here to build on and when we explained what they are doing to the children my son's comments were that it is a shame. At 7 years old he is wise beyond his years. He said that there are a lot of creatures that would lose their habitat by doing this work and he is spot on. And I agree - it is a shame.

Our dinner was lovely and we had some laughs altogether. Some memories were made tonight. A beautiful day and a beautiful evening with my beautiful family x
