Holehird Gardens

We cannot let August pass without a visit to these wonderful gardens run by the Lakeland Horticultural Society. As I have probably mentioned before these magnificent gardens are totally maintained by members who give their time freely.

Here is just a glimpse.
The main picture is just a small corner of the huge collection of Hydrangeas. You can see the Lake District mountains in the background.
The extras show a blue St. Paulia, an orange Rudbeckia and a houseleek the name of which I forgot to take.
Admission is free but donations are welcomed.
