Changing of the Guard

Alan and I went into London today to meet Lorraine and Richard.  We'd arranged to meet up at Covent Garden, so walked from Victoria station to Green Park underground as I wanted to see Buckingham Palace.  We timed it well, just as we were about to go into Green Park, Alan said 'Horses', but as I couldn't see them I asked him what he was going on about.  He just said get your camera out and get a position lol!  Well done Alan, it was the changing of the guard and luckily we were on the right side of the road so that I could get the palace in the background.

We caught the tube to Covent Garden and once we'd met up we went to sit and have a drink and a catch up.  I'd booked a table for lunch at the Belgian Cafe 'Lowlander; and as we were leaving Covent Garden, who should be bump into, other than my friend Alison and her sister!

After lunch, we wandered through Leicester Square to Regent Street and then Oxford Street as Lorraine had a bit of shopping she wanted to do, and I bought a folding pack-a-mac from Uniqlo, it'll be very handing for when I'm riding Betsy.

Alan and I then had to head home to the boys - Charlotte had been round to walk them at lunchtime, but I don't like leaving them too long, so Lorraine and Richard caught the tube to Victoria with us and we sat and had a quick drink before leaving them.

It's been a lovely day, but we're both tired now, particularly after our busy week with Karen and Andy so it's feet up in front of the TV tonight!
