Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

These boots were made for... falling over!

Becky came to pick up Archie this morning. She and Daniel are really persisting with the frisbee in the park, and I think he generally brings it back, sort of. Anyway, he was pretty tired when he came home.

We both went to the gym - I haven't been for a while. I don't know if it's done my knees any good, but then, I don't know what they'd be like if I hadn't been doing it.

JR popped to the supermarket, and Bailey came round to stay for the day - her mum had a last minute offer of a Fringe ticket. The dogs played out in the back garden for a while - they're like a bickering couple who've been married for 50 years.

We went down to visit Rufus and view the new boots. (His mum has bought them because he has had a recurring infection in two paws).

Well, what a laugh! When he tried to walk, taking exaggerated high steps, he'd fall flat on his face, legs splayed out. Sorry, Rufus, but I've never laughed so much. He needs to be on one of those TV shows about dogs doing silly things. He's such a good sport, he didn't really seem to mind being the object of our hilarity. Archie grudgingly tried them on, and wouldn't move. He wasn't so funny.

A couple of gins and many nibbles later, we tottered back up the road for the last evening of athletics on TV, JR will be delighted to learn...
