Soiree

When you are a return visitor to a place, and it seems especially if you are a time share owner, there are a lot of traditions to be observed; for example, the first night pizza in Papa Manuels down the road and the steak on a stone in the Real Canoa.

Another one of those traditions is Patricia's Soiree night. Patricia is a friend of ours and mum and dads and has a roof top apartment, so on the middle weekend of the fortnight we all gather in her room and have nibbles and wine, and it is a chance for everyone to catch up with each other and how their week's holiday has gone. Some of our friends are going home tomorrow and Tuesday, so it's also a chance to say au revoir and see you this time next year.

We have reached the middle point of our holiday now, and tomorrow we move hotels to just down the road. It always seems a bit odd to be repacking cases to unpack them again in a few hours' time, but we are looking forward to seeing the apartment in the Promenade as we haven't stayed in that one before.

It's been a long hot day by the pool today, and somehow contrived to sunburn one knee .. clearly missed it when greasing up with the sun tan lotion this morning! Ho hum!
