Most of the day at St John's Hospital in Livingston trying to get to the bottom of Susan's hip problem. Triage, consultant, X-ray, results. Took from 10.30 til 5.00pm. Probably burstitis, but not sure so she will now need a scan to confirm. Thank you everyone who sent Susan their best wishes. She was very appreciative of your concern.

A long wait, not much to do but the staff were marvellous, helpful, pleasant, making the long wait bearable.

We were able to go afterwards to the first event of the Fringe; the James Taylor story performed by Dan Clews as shown in today's blip. And a very good performance it was too. Dan's voice was a very good interpretation of that of James Taylor.

Afterwards we went to the Mosque Kitchen, a very good, cheap fast food place nearby.
