Lilies and laying in the sun

I'm still behind with blips after the Dales. I had a day of recovery resting my foot, catching up with newspapers and - finally! - sitting out in the garden by my pots of fragrant lilies which the deer and rabbits obviously don't like. I love the scent, but only outside - it is too heady for me indoors.

In the evening we gave another couple who we'd not met before, a lift over to the next valley where we'd all been invited to supper by new (to us) friends. The evening went well and we all hit it off together and had fun, as well as serious conversation - politics of course. Ros provided fantastic veggie food which was a real treat.
