Canoe

Our church has an informal group called 'Daytrippers' (aka Have Bus-Pass Will Travel) which goes on occasional day outings. Today we were off into Glasgow to visit the Hunterian Art Gallery & Museum, both buildings situated within the grounds of Glasgow University. The Hunterian Museum is one of Glasgow's hidden gems, with some amazing artifacts, including a number from the Roman occupation of southern and central Scotland, and a reconstruction of a Charles Rennie Mackintosh house.

This witty carving and caricature by a Yoruba artist is one of the exhibits in the Hunterian Museum.
