Crossing the Forth

This blip was taken just before Mrs AMK and I set off to walk across the Forth Road Bridge - a very enjoyable if perhaps a bit breezy experience !  This is the first time we have walked across the bridge although I have driven across it hundreds of times and today was probably  the last time as the new Queensferry crossing is due to be opened by the Queen on 4th September - she opened the Forth Road bridge on 4th September 1964 when I was in 3rd year at High School. 

The first extra shows the famous old Forth Rail bridge taken from our walk and the 2nd is a view of the new bridge taken when we reached the North side of the river. Soon we will be driving over it instead.
