Washington DC (Day 2)
Another day in the beautiful city of Washington DC, this time accompanied by one of my American cousins, Paula :-)
It was a very reflective day as we started in the newly opened African American History & Culture Museum (middle). Little Miss' choice as she wanted to see everything from slavery & plantations to the Civil Rights movement.
The afternoon was spent at the thought-provoking Pentagon Memorial - a wonderful tribute to the 184 who lost their lives on that awful day.
Followed by Arlington Cemetery where we were fortunate enough to watch the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider.
A lighter day tomorrow with more family!
