Happy Birthday Mitch
Twenty-one years ago today, 1991, we celebrated Mitch's 47th birthday with him. He was in southern California on business.
Just a few months before that, he & his wife, Trudy, had moved their family to Vermont. Of course we had no idea that would be his last earth birthday. A little over 4 months later Mitch died due to heart problems.
He was an amazing man and a special friend. We have many memories of Mitch, none more precious than the two weeks that the three of us pedaled our bicycles from San Francisco to Corona - an incredible journey with lots of laughs and lots of sweat. Mitch had a great voice and we thoroughly enjoyed hearing him sing. Pedaling the coast of California, he serenaded us numerous times.
It was after that summer 1986 trek when Trudy decided to begin pedaling with us and we spent many Saturday mornings on the Santa Ana bike trail. When they moved to Vermont we were glad for them and sad for us.
They were some of the best friends we've ever known.
Today we celebrate Mitch and we look forward to the day when we will all celebrate together again.
Good night from Southern California.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
