Love this tree carving adorning the village recreation ground which serves as the home venue for the local cricket club.
The innovative carving is created from the stump of an old oak tree which need to be felled a year ago.
The woodland scene skilfully carved into the stump was formally unveiled by local MP Caroline Nokes back in January. It also provides an additional bench seat overlooking the cricket pitch.
It was paid for by the local authority and a donation from a local family.

I applaud the sentiments of the Parisg Council that this extra seating is not only a practical addition but also an attractive feature in the recreation ground.
