Ojito Wilderness, South Rim of the Great Anticline
This is on the Rio Salado in the Ojito Wilderness, taken a totally magnificent hike with my son and his best friend Cary. I only had my tiny little point and shoot and didn't get a shot that comes anywhere close to doing the place justice. This is one of my very favorite places in the universe. It is hard to describe in how many ways this place is special.
We dressed the baby up in her bunting, put her into the big wheel stroller and set out on a two hour hike. I managed to leave the good camera in the car. I am still in a dry spell. I didn't manage to get even 1% of the beauty or serenity out there. The dog was in heaven and the baby giggled much of the way. What an amazing baby. The dog and I are getting much closer and I think it is all do to the miles we have covered together.
Today, I am grateful for the dry spell, because in many ways I learn more thru the introspection that comes with stuckness, the miles that are available to walk with the dog and baby and the incredible spectacle that is the Ojito.
