If you want to get yourself a real bargain that will give you months of pleasure get yourself down to your nearest supermarket. The chances are you'll find a pot of these for sale - probably at a knockdown price because they are assumed to be past their best.

Pot it up into a bigger container if you've got one free and leave it outside until the weather starts to get too cold. At this point, cut off the main branches and hang them upside down in a cool place inside. All the time you can use them to pep up any casserole dish. Even when they become quite dry and shrivelled, they will still pack a punch!
