Worry
I didn't take any pics today but this is one from yesterday making this actually a journal entry for Thursday 27th of August....
As I have already said, Bailee fell off the dressing table and I think she hurt her foot. She was quite hysterical about it for a good few minutes after it happened. I tool her to A&E and got them to do X-rays. The doctor got a second opinion from the orthopaedic surgeon who both said they couldn't see a fracture but also that it is not always easy to see in children.
The orthopaedic doctor said to monitor her temperature, come back if symptoms worse n and to give paracetamol if she is really upset but not routinely as not to interfere with the temperature monitoring,
She hasn't had a temperature and we cannot see any bruising. At the most there is a teeny bit of swelling on her foot.
But it is day 2 and she still refuses to walk. We can massage and touch all parts of her foot without her flinching but she will not put any weight on it. She has forgotten a couple of times and put weight on the foot, resulting in tears and being upset. So, something definitely does hurt her.
Bailee shows her emotions clearly. She is quite dramatic, especially since we moved to
Dubai. She is the cuddliest toddlers I have ever met.... would do anything for a cuddle. We are wondering how much of this, if any, is psychological.
We had a great day. Nanny and Pop Sweetman arrived and got to meet their third grandchild, Maple for the first time. We all took the twins swimming. Bailee clung on to one of us the whole time, but in the end we convinced her to float with her ring. Overall she was really happy today apart from when we asked her to stand. However, when I put her and Oscar to bed, Bailee bent her knees up to her chest and wouldn't put them back down. I eventually got her to stretch them down and she has gone off to sleep,
Am probably going to take her to the doctor again tomorrow as I am worried sick that it may be something they didn't X-ray like her hip.
Hopefully my beautiful biggest girl will have another good nights sleep.
