Saturday: Estuary Trail

We started the day with a good long walk on the estuary trail around Squamish. The weather was just absolutely perfect and the scenery idyllic. And.............after a year here, we saw our first black bear - mother and cub, up a tree. We were absolutely delighted.

Before we embarked on the trail, we asked a very nice lady which was the best way to walk. She was just heading to the trail herself so we ended up walking and chatting with her all the way. I have posted her in extras - unfortunately we never exchanged names but she was lovely company.

Then the drive back to Vancouver, where we had a relaxing afternoon before heading into town for a very fine dinner at 'Joe Forte's' - it always feels like a step back to 1950s New York going there.
