The first flap

Inspired bu yesterday's dragonflies, but facing more uncertain weather, I took myself off to butterfly world for a bit of tropical heat and glamourous flying specimens...

I particularly liked the hatchery area where all the chrysalises hang, waiting patiently for things to burst out of them... It's interesting trying to guess which coloured pod belongs to which species...

Whilst I was there I also had a look in the reptile house and made a new friend... Omar... named after Omar shariff... very exotic and handsome, and intelligent too... But Dave won't let me get one as a pet....
