Reward!

Today I cleaned my fridge! At some point I had crammed so much into it that I inadvertently pushed the temp control to 0 - and things had begun to grow in there! I had whacked up the thermostat to high cold - is there such a thing as high cold, do I mean low cold?! I dreaded taking anything out and being exposed to the mess and the possibility of toxic mould! So depressing not to say unhealthy!  n my mindful state I told myself to do it when I felt up to it - and today I did! Along with the things I expected to find - mould, out of date food and jars of food, I also found a slug! Not sure whether it was dead or alive but I wasn't going to spend time watching it return to room temperature to find out! The most annoying thing was finding the hole that allows cold air to circulate was blocked, and in unblocking it I pushed the blockage of lets face it mould, into the bowels of the fridge! I have no idea how to get to it and am not sure pouring bleach into the hole is a good idea? Apart from this rather concerning fact I now have a pristine fridge with very little in it! I keep going and opening the door to delight in it's pristine coldness! I even considered blipping it!
However instead you have this little wire car! I picked it up from the Post Office Depot Friday and had been waiting for a good time to open it - I do like delayed gratification! I hasten to add Idid not buy it! I entered a competition on Facebook for it! All I had to do was make a comment on it's photo! It was from the organisation that runs the Bovey Tracey Contemporary Art fair each year. Well only 8 people commented and in a pot luck drawer I was the winner! It's by the woman who made the wire clothes peg I bought one year at the fair!
Come dusk it was time to go up to the hens - thankfully the rain had stopped! It was so peaceful up there - only the sound of the hens clucking over their treats and an owl hooting somewhere in the trees. I gathered some more squash and then went home for an evening of knitting - the other mitten should be done by the end of the week!
