Driving in this part of W A has different challenges. The roads are relatively quiet but they are very long, very straight and the scenery unchanging so that it can become mesmerising. We had to keep a conversation going just to keep the driver alert and we found that by the end of the journey we were talking utter nonsense. (Husband would say "What's new there?"). And coming across one of these bruisers isn't easy, they're not called road trains for nothing!
