Any body remember Sid & Eddy?

Alias "Little & Large".
There was a bit of an excess of vegetation at the Hedgehog escape ramp from the pond. I therefore decided to reduce it somewhat. 
Out popped, at least, these two. Since I have been unable (even at Froglife.org) to find out, I'm guessing these are both this year's, despite the size discrepancy. "They" are prepared to tell me they take 2-3 yrs to reach breeding age, but not how big they are at the end of 1st year OR 2nd year. 
Oh, for the record:- Though no great fan ofTwittering I re-started to "Share on Twitter" since I have  a "Wine Country Dog" following me.
