Ely blipmeet

Bom organised an excellent blipmeet in Ely today.  We all met up in The Almonry for coffee and cake.  Suitably refreshed we set off for the river in glorious sunshine and couldn’t resist taking a few photos on the way, nor could some of us resist going around the huge antiques warehouse, although I did manage to resist buying anything.
Then all back to The Almonry for lunch (thankfully Bom had booked us a table) and we all enjoyed a chat over some lovely food.
Then onto the cathedral, it had clouded over by then and the hundreds of small children that had been attending a service were leaving, and stillness and quiet descended!
Such a magnificent cathedral, definitely my favourite, and despite having taking photos in there no end of times there is always something new to discover.  My main blip is looking up into the fabulous Octogon, so high up above us.  I’ve added an angel in extras, I couldn’t resist trying out a bit of in-camera ‘zoom burst’.
