Back in God's Own Country

We had an interesting drive to Yorkshire yesterday evening. Lashing rain and mist on the M6, then a closed A65 which led to a round-about route on tracks with grass growing down the middle. But we got to No 1 son's in the end.

This morning we woke to blue skies and sunshine. We took the girls to school and then set off up into the Dales. 

The picture is an old house in Embsay, and the extra Embsay Reservoir. We used to walk a lot in this area. 

We're here for a couple of weeks while K, our daughter-in-law convalesces. She's getting home from hospital tomorrow, and the girls are very excited.  Fingers crossed that all goes according to plan.
