Fascia painted

Today I put the second coat on the fascia.  It is a satin black.  I like the way it sets off the layout and makes it sort of float.  I was going to paint the shelf and it's back with varnish, but I think I will paint the back black and then the shelf with varnish.  That way when I put stuff on the shelf it won't mark the paint.  I think that perhaps it will also make the layout look thicker.

I do not like this sort of painting - much prefer painting models!
