Union Terrace Gardens

When I passed Union Terrace Gardens this morning I saw a sign saying the Gardens are closed for five weeks for a survey. Looking down from the street I could see the garden is full of vans and other equipment. This work will be in preparation for a landscaping project to be carried out in the relatively near future.

The photograph looks over the garden towards the back of Belmont Street, though the aim was mainly to capture the autumn colours and avoid the vans down in the gardens.

As I passed I could not help noticing how many buildings in the city centre are covered in scaffolding at the moment. The Central Library is one such building which I do not remember was surrounded in scaffolding the last time I passed by a month or two ago.
