Water of Leith

There's a lot of water around at the moment. There has been some substantial flood defences built at the Water of Leith, including bridge work. Last week there was a lot of water pouring through and the walkway was completely submerged.

The local inhabitants are pleased though!

There's a beautiful swan who bobs around the water by the bridge, and this gave rise to the discussion at work about Swans' mating for life. This one is all alone and needs to find a new bird !

Work is a barrage of tiresome testing at the moment - and, as was pointed out to me today, " a thankless task...bit like telling someone they have an ugly baby". That made me chuckle all day.
