Everyday I Write The Book

The Other Half

A day of two halves. Spent the morning in the office trying to get my head around some complex process stuff and some HR issues, then went off to London to the Institute of Directors for a seminar on collaboration in healthcare. A very interesting presentation from a company working in the Basque region of Spain, where they are using telephone consultations, telemedicine and Customer Relations Management (CRM) software to manage people with chronic conditions before they get ill and need expensive treatment.

Popped into WholeFood off Piccadilly Circus afterwards for some veggie supplies, then home.

This is the main staircase at the Institute of Directors. Very much a gentleman's club feel to it. A pleasant way to spend an afternoon. The people on my table were interesting and diverse; good to get some personal development in. But a lot of focus on the uncertain future of healthcare; the demographic time bomb is ticking and the economy can't bear the strain .... watch this space ...
