The North Cape

Nordkapp, nearly, but not quite, the most northerly point. (There’s Knivskjellodden which is the actual tip of Europe but Nordkapp is the famous one.

It was bleak, windswept, cold and rain lashing us. But it’s the start of winter, so we should t be surprised.

I went out to the Globe, braving the elements, and then looked at the view - stunning.

I returned to the building to pause before heading out to the Children of the Earth monument extra).... also stunning.

As we had left Honningsvag, the bus had to pause while a Sami lady and her family were herding reindeer down from the heights. The reindeer had other ideas and made a break for freedom, heading back up..... but our coaches were able to continue.

An amazing adventure.... now on to Tromso.

We saw some more Northern Lights last night, high up on the plain behind Alta, but I’m still to see clear ones or colours with the naked eye.
