Sad news tonight

We were called up to a friends house today as the rescue horse they adopted was poorly. Our friends had to go to an important hospital appointment in Bordeaux, and wanted our other friend, who is experienced in horse matters to give her opinion.
To cut a long story short, the vet was immediately called, the horse, Rose, passed a lot of blood, painkiller injections were given and the vet told us that the situation was as bad as it could be.
Our friends returned from the hospital just in time to speak to the vet, and decided to wait and see.
Sadly Rose died this evening, after saying goodbye to her step sister; her field companion, and to our friend who looks after them both. Our friend is distraught this evening. RIP Rose.
