Still a bit of colour left!

Today Mr F was on the phone trying to sort things out from last night. We now know much more than we ever thought we'd need to about the disposal of recently deceased horses in France! Apparently it's the law that the 'disposal' company, and there is only one licensed in the whole of the Charente Maritime, has to collect the horse within 48 hours of the midnight after being notified!
So Rose died last night, he reported the death this morning, and the timing starts tonight at midnight. But tomorrow is Saturday, and the weekends don't count of course! So we are looking at any time up until Tuesday evening, and it's still quite warm here!
Rose's owner is still distraught, and every time she goes out of her front door, she sees a Rose shaped bump under a tarpaulin at the side of the field, because of course the disposal company won't go into the field to collect the horse, so she had to be moved by a local farmer this morning.
None of us present last night slept very well, but life goes on, dogs get walked, windows get cleaned, shopping and washing get done, and every time we go out there is that Rose shape under the tarpaulin in the field at the end of our road.
