Day 14
This was the last full day of my adventure. After the most fantastic day yesterday today was more humbling as we drove to the city of Kigali to the genocide museum. The very well displayed centre told the story of the mass torture and slaughter of over 1 million people in 1994 which brought the country to it's knees and wiped out a generation. We saw very few elderly people! It was gritty and upsetting but very necessary to pay our respects and i'm glad i went.
We finished the day by checking into a plush hotel where we showered in hot water and rummaged around for the least grubby clothing as we gathered for our last evening meal together.
