...a big lorry took a wrong turn last Friday and ended up The Kirk Wynd.

It’s a Wynd and turning a big lorry in a Wynd can be challenging and unfortunately this is the result of that wrong turn mishap.

The 300 year old archway to our over 1000 year old cemetery is no more...for now:-(

All the more galling when there was a work party just the day before on the Thursday clearing the ivy from the wall and said archway.

The wee fella and I completely missed this devastation when we were at Church on Sunday...we need to be more mindful. I saw it today heading back to the house after an appointment.

At the end of the day, it’s a wall...yes a very old wall but it can be rebuilt and although the driver of the lorry was quite distressed, the important thing is that no person was injured and for that I am grateful.
