Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Extremely lazy day

The most exercise I did today was to chase Archie round the kitchen as he tried to escape with his 'monkey'. This is his favourite game.

I had a very lazy day. I was quite sore and stiff from yesterday's heaving of twenty bags of firewood. Luckily, JR was home to put them all back into the wood shed again.

There was a little voice suggesting that I could get up and paint the bedroom window, but I managed to ignore it. I broke the lid of the paint tin yesterday, rendering it useless, so I need to just use the paint all up. Maybe tomorrow...

JR took Archie up the hill (photo by JR) while I slummocked around in bed, then did more slummocking on the sofa. What a lazy day - I didn’t even go on my bike.

This day last year, I had just escaped from hospital, having had my second knee done. I enjoyed reading that saga again, but it was worse, much worse than I recorded. In fact, I made an official complaint.

This day four years ago, we moved into this flat. We wanted a ground floor flat so that we could get a dog. And the rest is history.

I love looking back on blip.
