James arrived home around 11pm.

He is physically and emotionally drained after 18 hours awake, travelling and processing what he has seen and experienced at Auschwitz-Birkenau.

I am proud that he is resilient and open enough to show that to me and that he doesn’t shy away from the discomfort that he has clearly taken on during his visit.

What he has told me has made me feel quite tearful.

We must not forget.
