Ant and Dec.....!

For about 4 years and since the one of the programs on "The Secret Millionaire", Ewan (thats "Ant"..or the bloke on the left) has had a passion to see a food bank set up in Edinburgh - Starting with the north west of the city - and today after alot of hard work, sweat, laughter and tears.... the first collection was held down at Morrisons at the Gyle.

Its a shame in a way that in this day and age that crisis foodbanks have to be set up but as we see in the media, all too often, this is becoming a lifeline for so many people - Ewan, along with his "mad mate" Geoff (thats "Dec" ...or the bloke on the right) and many others and in co-junction with the Trussell Trust - has finnaly got this one up and running and after a great day I recieved a text from Ewan saying that......

....280kg of food was collected which is equivalent of 22 single person packs giving them 3 meals for 3 days.

Thanks to all who donated and well done lads for all your hard work and maybe one day you won't be needed because there will be no need.....but until then, because of your passion and desire, the hungry will be fed. For more information check out North West Edinburgh Foodbank
