Sunny Sunday
One of those days when you intend to go out for a walk but never get there! Well, I did walk around the allotments late afternoon so that counts according to my Fitbit! I got little chores done - including cleaning my Stephanotis of mealybug with a needle! No idea how they got in and so far the only plant in the conservatory with them. For once my enormous Jade plant that is taller than me and a damn sight wider too, is not covered in bugs as it usually is so I get to post a photo of it coming into flower! Not bad for a plant that a few years ago spent the whole summer under the Castor Oil plant in my front garden as I thought it was dying! It kept losing leaves and was no thing of beauty! Then when I came to break it's root ball down I discovered it was sprouting up fresh leaves so in it came again! Look at it now! Actually don't look too closely as I can see some leaves need a clean! I don't mind it when plants like this, the Plumbago and Bougainvillea take up so much space when they reward me with flowers. The Plumbago is over but the bougainvillea pretty in new pink flowers and possibly the subject of a future blip!
