All Gone

This is my favorite tree, mostly because it's right outside my door where I can watch it change with the seasons.  Not a leaf left but it still has an abundance of bird and squirrel tenants.  Wind and rain have done their thing so all the leaves are now on the ground but they're too wet to be crunchy when you walk on them.  I think winter's not too far off.  It's been a tad on the cold side but the snow is all at higher elevations, for the moment.  The squirrels are storing peanuts as if there were never going to be anymore.   I don't know how to tell them not to worry.
