Charlie's Paddock
After a wet drive home, turning into the valley this evening we were greeted with a pall of low cloud and mist. In the flat grey light, the greens were super-saturated like old Velvia 50, the grass gleaming under the sheen of the damp.
Tonight I didn't feel like an all green photo, so instead I'm sharing the scene in atmospheric monochrome...
These Totara gates lie close to the entrance of Charlie's paddock (belonging to one of our neighbours) and adjacent to the stock ramp shown in this blip.
Their texture speaks of their age - uncertain, but yet weathered by the elements. Like much of Banks Peninsula, treated pine and galvanised chains are not the done thing in Kaituna...
