Simply Red
I met up with a good friend for some 'birdie' shooting as it was a bright sunny day. As we were walking to the hide, Thom spotted a Red Admiral butterfly sunbathing on a branch. It stayed for ages, allowing us to get some nice photo's (see extra) before fluttering off. A stunning pose!
In the hide, one Robin was so trusting it came in and almost demanded feeding so we put some feed down and it stayed a while.
The one I like most if of the red breasted Robin on a branch next to some bright red berries. Very seasonal and could only be bettered with some snow! With some luck we may get some this year!
Afterwards I travelled to Ystrad Mynach to try out the hairdressers my eldest son uses as the one I've used for years only takes 3 or 4 minutes for a £7.50 charge. The new one took ages, despite a packed shop, and was happy to give me a 'pensioner' rate. I've got my card stamped and on the fifth it's £5! There are benefits to getting old!
