Bristol Sunrise
I was up really early for a meet with RobBris50 to watch the sunrise over Bristol Harbour and have a walk around, chat, and a couple of coffees. The main blip photo is of a flock of pigeons that flew off from a derelict building when we stopped to take a photo of the sunrise. Rob knew instantly it was going to be my blip as it contained birds!
The extra is of Cabot Tower, set in the gorgeous parkland of Brandon Hill. It's a 105ft tower built in 1897 to commemorate John Cabot's famous voyage from Bristol and the continent of North America four hundred years earlier. I climbed it to take photo's of the stunning views over Bristol whilst Rob waited patiently at the base. Rob works spitting distance away. It turned out to be a bright morning and I really like the tree shadows on the hill with the tower framed by the tree. I've always wanted to visit the tower and it was well worth the climb.
