Highly Unsprung

Mr Sport and Radio is 50!

Surprise party for Mr G at Pittodrie Stadium, very fitting venue for the lifelong sports broadcaster and a big up to Wendy for organising and managing to get everybody to keep it a secret. He looked mightily chuffed to see his family and mates gathered together, raising a glass...or two.

We were sat at a table with one of his former colleagues from his days broadcasting on the other side of Scotland. Oh man, this guy was was in full on, old school Alan Partridge/League of Gentleman radio host entertainment mode. My cheeks are still sore from laughing, at one point Sharon and I were crying laughing so hard I thought we wouldn't catch our breath. When we had to leave for kids and doggo duties - after squeezing in a bit of Tina Turner River Rolling on the dancefloor, obviously - we were still chuckling away, leaving Kim and Dave (3 Dave's were out tonight) to keep the laughter going with the Dumfries and Galloway contingent.

Dave "I don't do football" Stuart even had a Pittodrie Pie and liked it....

But back to Mr G, who is one of those rare things in this day and age, a genuinely nice guy, Happy Birthday!!
