Fun times at Cartwright

Today has been the first day I've felt like I could properly relax and enjoy a bit of time at home. It was nice to spend a morning pottering around the house without having anywhere in particular to go. I needed to get out by mid morning though, so SS and I went for another wonderfully wintery walk and explored a few paths around the area. I can't wait until I'm feeling a bit better and can start running around here and getting to know the area a bit more.

Onto Four Crosses for a quick brew with the lovely Jan and Martin and then to Will's first Birthday party. What a gorgeously munchie little one year old he is!

Tonight was Phil's party and a really good chance to meet the new neighbours. What a great bunch. The first person I met was from Malaysia and then a philosophy teacher who had links with Bath YFC and then Katie from a few doors down who's keen to get everybody socialising together and Becky from opposite who's definitely going to bring the fun to the street. Phil's house is only the same size as mine but there were a good bunch of us there tonight. Seems like he's set the standard now! There's such a great mixture of ages and backgrounds but I think we're all super glad to have ended up here. There's already talk of a street party for the royal wedding which obviously I had nothing to do with. Ahem.
