My Angel

It's Mom's birthday today. It's the first one since Dad died. Saying 'Happy Birthday' didn't seem quite right when it was going to be the first birthday in all those years without her husband.

I was glad to be here anyway and I used up a bit of time in lieu so we could at least spend all day together without me ripping my hair out over my laptop for most of the day. Poor Mom! She is used to me tweeting and being sent terrible jokes all day via text when I'm not working, thank goodness!

I got up reasonably early and we went to the morning service at St. Margaret's. Mom has been getting a lot of comfort from going there most days and she was glad of the company. I'm ashamed to say my stomach was growling all the way through and I was relieved to get to TK Maxx for an egg and bacon roll afterwards.

I actually managed to persuade Mom to let me take her photo afterwards when we were feeding the seagulls but please don't anyone tell her she is my Blip today!
