You are mad, you are!!
This is clearly the worst picture I have ever taken in my entire life! I took it in the taxi on the short journey back from Birmingham International Station.
Earlier, I got a taxi to the course centre as it was the last day and the weather was foul. I didn't fancy being blown to the Barbican but my case would have saved me from floating away. Aren't London taxi drivers friendly? I only get the odd grunt from Brummie ones. My London cabbie had told me his whole life story and that he was a Leeds United supporter on that short journey.
It was wild, windy and rainy when I went out for an early lunch with Lynne on our last day so we weren't inclined to hang around taking pictures. We were keen on getting finished early anyway so grabbing food and running back to class was order of the day. Cheese and onion pie for me with a sandwich and crisps for the train was what I had. They asked if I wanted gravy and mash with my pie! That would have killed me for the afternoon...
It was more of a recapping day on what we'd covered. At 1pm we escaped with our huge heavy course manuals. I was halfway out of the door with Lynne when the tutor yelled 'Who left their case behind?' We all collapsed in hysterics at how I could be so hopeless as to leave my whole case behind. We were holding each other up we were laughing so hard. The receptionist just rolled her eyes skyward and said 'You are MAD, you are!' and that was my final memory of StayAhead Training.
As we had plenty of time, Lynne said she'd make sure I got my train from Euston OK. I was so grateful she did! Into Barbican, tube to King's Cross, up and down loads of escalators and stairs - Lynne carried my case while I caused chaos stood on the wrong side of everything - and then another tube to Euston train station. We made an earlier train and Lynne pushed me on it looking relieved with all my stuff and I waved goodbye to London feeling very grubby and traumatised!
I ate my sandwich on the way back while writing yesterday's Smithfield blip (using my iPad to pick up the personal hot spot on my phone) and that passed the time until I arrived back at Birmingham International Station where I got my taxi home.
Track? Not my usual sort but after being told I was MAD, I quite fancy this one - Crazy - Gnarls Barkley
