River Shingle Flora

Maisie and I did a shorter walk than normal this morning. I wanted to get to the supermarket and it pays to get there very early in the morning to avoid the crowds these days.
I have pictured some riverbed flora. It is Vipers Bugloss and the vivid blue flowers make for a great show this time of the year.
It’s been cloudy all day here with a brisk not-west breeze. We are supposed to get some rain this evening. It would be nice.
I picked the first of our runner beans this evening. My very favourite vegetable. I could feast on them every day.
