Rio through a Glass

A bit dull and rainy day today and the heavens opened just as we stopped for pasteis in Real Choppe. The pasteis here are delicious: Bb's favourite is prawn and I like the cheese and onion and shredded beef.

We also had a meeting with Gina and her daughter Priscilla, who have helped throughout the year and made sure bills are paid on time. It was a huge relief knowing we weren't going to arrive to problems this year. We brought them a rather nice bag of Spanish goodies as a thank you. Last year at this time we were dealing with Citibank screwing up our bank account and all that that involved. This year we got meticulously kept handwritten records of all the bills paid from Priscilla. What a difference and long may it continue.
