River House

Kathy and I were fortunate to squeeze in a kayak adventure on what might be the last summer-ish day this year.

We paddled on the Siltcoos Lake and then down the Siltcoos River to the Pacific Ocean.

So cool to have sailed the length of a river and then paddled back up to its origin in one day!

OK, so it wasn't the Amazon; the Siltcoos is but 3 miles long.

One has to start somewhere. Amazon here we come!

This adventure began with everyone gathering at the River House, one of the wonderful Parks and Recreation facilities in Eugene.
